Owners Jacques and Wendy met in Cape Town, South Africa and have spent their married life in France, Senegal, and now the USA. Jacques is French and was born in South Africa and Wendy is a native North Carolinian. They opened French Connections in 2000, just months after moving to North Carolina from Dakar, Senegal, in West Africa. Now their shop bulges at the seams with French antiques they import from Normandy, African art from places they've lived and visited, made by many people they know, and hard to find French and African fabrics that they pack up and take on the road to a dozen or so quilt shows every year. Simply put, French Connections offers an eclectic and fun shopping adventure!
