Made famous in the movie Bull Durham, the AAA baseball team, the Durham Bulls play an 144-game schedule April-Sept. at their state-of-the-art Durham Bulls Athletic Park in American Tobacco Campus. They are a member of the International League and the Triple-A Affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and have won three League Championships and a National Title since moving to Triple-A in 1998.

St. Joseph's Performance Hall
The St. Joseph's Performance Hall located at the Hayti Heritage Center in Durham was the former sanctuary of the St. Joseph's AME Church, one of America's first autonomous African-American churches. The 1891 Richardsonian Romanesque-style building, now on the National Register of Historic Places, was restored into a 450-seat performance hall in 2001.
