The Carolina Theatre

Historic Yates Mill County Park

This 174-acre park features hiking trails, Historic Yates Mill, Wake County's last remaining gristmill and its 20-acre pond. The old water-powered mill (circa 1756) is fully restored and operable and is an outstanding record of the evolution of early industry in the lower Piedmont region of North Carolina. The park is open daily 8am-sunset for hiking, picknicking and fishing. Winter it is open 8am-5pm.

St. Joseph's Performance Hall

The St. Joseph's Performance Hall located at the Hayti Heritage Center in Durham was the former sanctuary of the St. Joseph's AME Church, one of America's first autonomous African-American churches.
